“I once heard someone say that when people with black belts in karate stand in front of a stack of boards and prepare to split them wide open, they don't focus attention on the boards. If they were to do that, they wouldn't break through them. They put their focus down through the floor. That way the energy of their blow will take them right on through the boards to their point of focus.
It's the same way with prayer. Settle in on the Word of God deeper and deeper until it becomes implanted so deeply that you can't see that situation any other way. That is what the Bible calls "fervent" prayer, and it says it's a very powerful thing (James 5:16).”
